The Bogor City Police responded to the decision of the Bogor District Court (PN) which granted the lawsuit of the suspects in the case rape fellow employees of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Kemenkop UKM). The Polresta will coordinate and ask for directions from the West Java (West Java) Regional Police regarding the legal steps to be taken.

“Currently investigators are accepting the results of the court judge’s decision and will be coordinating with the Wasidik Polda West Java for the next steps, both related to legal action and further investigation,” Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bogor Police, Kompol Rizka Fadhila, told reporters, Tuesday (17/1/2023).

Rizka said coordination with the West Java Regional Police Wasidik would be carried out tomorrow. According to him, the results of the coordination will determine the attitude of investigators regarding the Bogor District Court decision which also aborted the status of a suspect in the rape case of a fellow Kemenkop employee.

“To follow up, of course the investigators will take a stance, now that is of course the attitude that will be taken, we are still coordinating with the regional police deputy (Polda of West Java). The plan is that tomorrow we will carry out assistance with the regional police deputy,” said Rizka.

As previously reported, the Bogor District Court granted a pretrial lawsuit filed by three suspects in the rape case of a fellow Kemenkop UKM employee. As a result, the status of three suspects in the case was declared dead.

“On trial, granted the Petitioner’s pretrial request,” as quoted from the Bogor District Court’s Case Handling Information System (SIPP) website, Tuesday (17/1).

In addition, the single judge at the Bogor District Court declared that the warrant for termination of investigation (SP3) against the suspects which had previously been issued was valid. The judge also stated that the 2020 investigation warrant was declared invalid.

“Declaring the validity of the Warrant for Termination of Investigation Number S.PPP/813 b/III/RES 1.24/2020 dated 18 March 2020 and the determination of the suspect on behalf of the Petitioners in the investigation of the case invalid in accordance with the Investigation Order Number: SP.Sidik/813.a /RES 1.24/I/2020/Sat Reskrim January 1, 2020,” said the verdict.
