The prosecutor’s response to the plea Habib Rizieq Shihab (HRS) has spread to the status of high priest. The prosecutor also said that Rizieq often made accusations without a clear basis.
“That the defendant and legal counsel are required to be sharp on the case, the problems they face, legally wise, and have the intention to deal with it with strong legal arguments and do not need to file a defense with words that violate the nation’s norms with unhealthy words that put forward emotion, let alone blaspheme,” said the prosecutor when reading the replik or response to the plea in the trial at the East Jakarta District Court (PN Jaktim), Monday (14/6/2021).
In this matter, Rizieq was accused of making a fuss related to the spread of swab test hoaks at RS Ummi Bogor. Habib Rizieq sentenced to 6 years in prison.
According to the prosecutor, Rizieq carelessly accused the prosecutor and a number of figures as stated in Rizieq’s plea read on Thursday, June 10 yesterday. The prosecutor accused Rizieq of frequently swearing with unethical words.
“It is customary to lie, evil maneuvers, insistence, stubbornness of which demons enter, very evil and disturbing, as in pleidoi. Ignorance and stupidity, and falsehood against the rules are used as tools of the oligarchy as in pleidoi,” he said.
“Sentences like these were uttered by the defendant and should not have been said that claimed he had good morals, but the defendant easily used harsh words as above. Even though the defendant’s status as a teacher, who was an elder, a figure, and knowledgeable, it turned out that what was being touted as the high priest is just a figment,” added the prosecutor.
