The statement of the company executing the flooded rainwater project did not convince me! • Journal of the Observatory

Al-Marsad Newspaper: Writer Khaled Al-Sulaiman commented on the statement by the company responsible for managing the East Gate project in Riyadh, after some neighborhoods in the project were flooded after heavy rains hit the capital.

Blame the responsibility of Riyadh Municipality

“Al-Suleiman” said in an article in “Okaz” newspaper titled (Drowning in Ink Water): I was not very convinced by the statement of the real estate company running the project drenched in rainwater in Riyadh, while trying to throw the ball of responsibility at the Riyadh Municipality stadium when it indicated that the project was carried out according to the plans and drainage networks and infrastructure approved by the secretariat!

He added: In fact, no one is innocent of what happened, as all parties associated with the project are responsible partners, starting from the moment the off-plan sale of the project is approved to the handing over of the keys to the residents, and the damage to the damaged housing units will not be repaired by construction data or suction tanks They see their new damaged houses to learn the extent of the tragedy and the enormity of the problem!

Efficiency in error prevention

And he continues: The real estate company has pledged to return the value of any damaged unit and accept a request to terminate the lease under Off-Plan Sales Committee procedures.

And he added: The “Wafi” committee itself said in a statement published by “Okaz” that it is closely following all the projects authorized by it to ensure their safety, and if it had really followed up, this incident would not have occurred and dozens of housing units would not have flooded its streets in this modern housing project, and efficiency lies in preventing mistakes and not coping with their damage!

He concluded by saying: If some have commented that the old neighborhoods would drown during the rainy seasons due to their falling into valley streams and their lack of proper basic planning, then what is the excuse for the new neighborhoods that they should be planned? and licensed by those who realized their mistakes and learned from their lessons?!
