The state will buy 498 ending Fabia Combi

Škoda Auto will supply the Fabia with Ambition equipment extended by selected elements of special equipment, the cars will be powered by a 1.0 TSI engine with an output of 70 kW in combination with a five-speed manual transmission. This is the third generation of the Combi version, which has been left alone for an indefinite period of time in addition to the new fourth-generation hatchback. The successor will not get a more practical variant, as confirmed by the carmaker last week.

Individual customers can purchase cars in standard equipment defined by the central contracting authority, or vehicles can be enriched with optional extra equipment in accordance with the tender documentation.

The large central purchase of the Ministry of Finance concerns 61 state bodies. In the next two years, the cars will be purchased by, for example, the Ministries of Defense, Environment and Transport, including their subordinate organizations, such as the Railway Administration, the Roads and Motorways Directorate and other state and local government entities.

“We are pleased that the Škoda brand has succeeded in the central tender of the Ministry of Finance, which will ensure the necessary replacement of the vehicle fleet for several ministries and dozens of institutions managed by them,” said Martin Jahn, a member of the Škoda Auto Board of Directors.

“Central purchasing is a beautiful example of how the state can and can save. In the last two years, the state has bought centrally for as little as 20 billion crowns and more than 250 public administration organizations have joined. This includes regions and municipalities to which central purchasing can bring not only financial savings, but also relief from paperwork and bureaucracy, ”said Minister of Finance Alena Schillerová (for YES). According to her, organizations will get cars up to 20 percent cheaper thanks to central purchasing.
