Go to a restaurant, get a haircut or lose extra pounds in the gym. Activities that were quite common in the days before coronavirus are seen by each of us after long months of lockdown. Hope in the form of a mobile application is beginning to have clearer outlines.
“We have three companies that are able to prepare those applications so that a network of safe establishments can be created,” said Zdeněk Zajíček from the Czech Chamber of Commerce.
The mobile application could allow people to use selected services in the future, if they are proven by vaccination, confirmation of a negative test in the last 24 hours or the result of an antibody test after covid-19. For example, when visiting a restaurant, people could prove their QR on their mobile phone.
One such application is already being developed by the state with the help of the Chamber of Commerce. It could be ready for use in a matter of weeks. “We are very happy that they took this topic very seriously and that we agreed that in the next week we will discuss in detail how we can start something like this as soon as possible,” says Zajíček.
According to the chief hygienist Pavla Svrčinová, in the future people, for example, could also use bracelets to enter various events. “They are non-removable and will be valid for two days from testing if PCR is done,” she explained.
“Anything that will help us open earlier is welcome. We are already looking forward to it,” thinks the pub Michal Zvěřina about the idea. “If it is true that a person can go to work with an negative test for eight hours, then there is no reason not to go with the same negative test for beer after that work,” said Tomáš Prouza, president of the Trade and Tourism Association.
The new application with non-infectious data could also be valid abroad.
According to economist Štěpán Křeček, the economy should start as soon as possible. Lockdown is very expensive and the Czechia can no longer afford it. Take a look at the interview from Televizní noviny:
