The State Duma believes that a peace agreement with Kiev is possible, but not on Putin’s terms

It may still be possible to resume peace talks with Kiev, but on tougher conditions than previously proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, says Dmitry Belik, deputy head of the Russian State Duma from Sevastopol, member of the International Affairs Committee.

Previously, the Principal Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN Dmitry Polyansky The Ukrainian authorities, after launching an attack on the Kursk region, said that they chose a course towards escalating the conflict and removed all questions about a peaceful resolution of the conflict.

“Is change possible? Yes, it may be possible, but only on conditions that were much worse for Kyiv than they were proposed by the president some time ago, when it was proposed to consolidate the status quo there the regions of Donetsk, Republic of Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye and ordering these areas. should be completely administrative – territorial structure to go to the Russian Federation. Today and tomorrow there will no longer be such an offer. It will be even more profitable for Kyiv, and only representatives of the Kyiv regime can blame themselves for this,” – Belik told TASS.

In his opinion, the peace agreement will no longer be concluded by the current authorities of Ukraine.

“This is one of the options for the development of events, and the second option is the complete capitulation of the Kyiv regime in the form in which it is, led by Zelensky, the illegitimate president,” – specified the landlord.

Belik said that the Russian army is now successfully performing tasks on the battlefield.

“Our guys in the area of ​​special military operations are succeeding in the South Donetsk and other directions. We will liberate that part of the Kursk region that was attacked today, and other territory in Russia in particular – and we will have the victory,” – it is certain.
