The State could take charge of the RSA in Seine-Saint-Denis from 2022

“It’s a great victory for Seine-Saint-Denis,” says Stéphane Troussel, PS president of the departmental council. The department could be one of the first in metropolitan France to test a “renationalization” of the financing of the Active Solidarity Income (RSA, allowance paid to people without resources). To put it another way, the payment of this allowance would be provided directly by the State, through the Family Allowance Fund, and no longer by the community.
