Svetlana Savelova became famous after the premiere of the film “Seven Old Men and One Girl”. The story of a young student who engages in physical education with older men was warmly received by Soviet viewers.
This role was a turning point in Savelova’s life. She decided to devote herself to acting and entered the Shchukin School. After completing her studies, the young artist served in the Lenin Komsomol Theater and began acting in films.
Savelov was lucky. She was given major roles and was a sought-after actress, so there were no signs of her falling to the bottom. However, in the 70s there was a turning point – the artist began to abuse alcohol, which negatively affected her career. The actress began to spend more and more time in the company of dubious men. Now there is no trace of the former glory and attention of worthy fans. In the 90s, Savelova was no longer filmed.
The 57-year-old actress’s body was found just days after she went missing. The cause of her death was alcohol intoxication.
Savelova had no family and friends, so the former colleagues in the shop took over the organization of the funeral. However, they didn’t find any decent clothes in her apartment, so the artist had to wear a dress made from theatrical props. Such was the sad end of the once beautiful and promising actress of Soviet cinema.
