The STAN presidency agreed on the candidates for ministers

The position of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior will probably fall to the Austrian. The former mayor of Cologne also counts on taking over the leadership of the Central Crisis Staff, which operates due to the coronavirus epidemic. Petr Gazdík, Austria’s Austrian predecessor, will probably become the Minister of Education.

STAN Deputy Chairman Věslav Michalik will probably be the Minister of Industry and Trade. In connection with the Minister for European Affairs, the councilor of the Olomouc Region and also the Czech representative in the European Committee of the Regions Radim Sršeň are mentioned. However, there was also speculation about the chairman of the Senate European Committee, Mikuláš Bek.

“At the moment, after the debate, we in the presidency have agreed on a recommendation to the national committee,” the Austrian said. A member of the board has the right to nominate nominees for the government. “Of course, according to the statutes, the national committee has the right to address one of the members of the bureau, or one of the members of the bureau may do so at the national committee, and come up with another name, which would enter the agenda,” he added.
