In the 2021/2022 season, Slovak hockey strikers Tomáš Klíma and Jakub Žilka will also play in the jersey of the HC 21 Prešov extra-league club. Both worked in the 2020/2021 season in HC 07 Detva, whose owner Róbert Ľupták moved the club to Prešov. HC 07 informed about new acquisitions on social networks.
Klima played in the Detva jersey for the past two seasons. In the 2020/2021 year, he achieved a balance of 6 goals, 4 assists, 32 penalty minutes and 11 minus points in 45 matches. In the highest Slovak competition, he also wore jerseys of Trenčín, Martin, Zvolen and Košice. He has played a total of 409 matches so far, in which he has scored 133 Canadian points for 57 goals and 76 assists.
Žilka has spent a significant part of his career in Detva. He also played for Zvolen and Banská Bystrica in the Slovak extra league. In the 2020/2021 year, he had a balance of 3 goals, 1 assistance, 20 penalty minutes and 9 minus points in 38 matches. He has so far competed in 306 matches in the highest competition, in which he has scored 24 goals, 40 assists and 64 points.
After the arrival of Klíma and Žilka, there are already 8 players on the roster of the Prešov team who wore the Detva jersey in the 2020/2021 year. Goalkeeper Roman Petrík, Frederik Fekiač, Lukáš Lalík, Jonathan Charbonneau, Viktor Fekiač and Ján Sýkora have already headed in the same direction.
Russian goalkeeper Nikita Bespalov, Czech defender David Růžička, Finnish striker Tommi Jokinen and Slovak strikers Martin Krasničan and Marek Zagrapan, who will be the team captain, have already joined coach Ernest Bokroš.
