St. Louis Blues hockey players on Friday called the National Hockey League (NHL) The powers of the Stanley Cup champions.

The Blues lost to the Vancouver Canucks 2: 6 (0: 1, 0: 3, 2: 2) in the sixth game of the Western Conference quarterfinals in Edmonton, conceding 2-4 in a series of four victories.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Flyers reached the semifinals in the East, beating the Montreal Canadiens 3: 2 (2: 1, 1: 1, 0: 0), taking the lead 4-2.

Ivan Provorov, Kevin Hayes and Michael Raphle scored on the Flyers team, while Nick Suzuki stood out twice in the Canadiens. For the winners, goalkeeper Carter Hart neutralized 31 shots.

“Flyers” has not played in the Stanley Cup final since 2010, when the team was represented by Latvian defender Oskars Bārtulis.

The opponent of the Philadelphia team in the semifinals of the conference will be the “Islanders” of New York. Tampa’s Lightning and Boston’s Bruins will compete for the second ticket to the Eastern finals.

Of the eight teams remaining in the Stanley Cup, only “Bruins” won the trophy in the last 14 years and won in 2011. Of these eight, four teams have won the title in the last 35 years – twice “Avalanche”, but sometimes “Bruins”, “Lightning” and “Stars”.
