Hurrah! We won’t have to wait that long to see the second season of The Squid Game
The second season of Squid Game is coming! The sequel to what is possibly Netflix’s best series will premiere in 2024, as announced by the streaming service. It will be joined by new seasons of Bridgerton, The Diplomat, F1: Drive to Survive, and other successful series.
Netflix will also release Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen this year, in addition to the highly anticipated The Three-Body Problem, the adaptation of a science fiction book by the team behind “Game of Thrones.”
And, early next year, Netflix will be the new home of WWE wrestling: WWE Raw will be exclusive to the platform in the US, and all WWE live broadcasts (including Raw) will appear on service in different countries-
The best news is, without a doubt, the upcoming release of The Squid Game 2, whose creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, had not previously committed to setting a date.

All the fan-favorite characters will return, including Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), of course. There will also be new members in the cast, as the plot goes beyond the deadly games. Or so we think.
To be honest, Dong-hyuk has given few clues about what we can expect. And that’s part of the excitement: it makes it one of, if not the most anticipated series on the platform in recent times.
Fans of the franchise are in luck, especially because there will be another season of The Squid Game: The Challenge. It will be the continuation of several similar reality shows that have reached streaming platforms, although few have lived up to their clear inspiration.
Let’s hope that both sequels live up to their respective expectations and that we get a lot more squid-related action in the future.
