With an annual sales volume of more than 50 billion euros, industrial automation is one of the most important economic sectors in Germany. The world’s central trade fair platform for the industry is the SPS – Smart Production Solutions, organized by Mesago Messe Frankfurt. In view of the international success, the organizer will now gain a foothold in the US market with this trade fair.
The SPS brand will appear there for the first time as “Automation Sector powered by SPS” as part of the IMTS 2024 trade fair for manufacturing technology from September 9th to 14th, 2024 in Chicago. With its expertise, Mesago supports the organizer Association For Manufacturing Technology (AMT) in the realization of this special display area, which is intended to depict smart and digital automation solutions for industrial production.
In view of the rapid developments in automation technology, the American sister company of Mesago Messe Frankfurt, Messe Frankfurt Inc., will also hold an independent industry event in Atlanta every two years under the name “SPS – Smart Production Solutions”, for the first time from September 23rd to 25th .2025.
Good complement to the sister events in Italy and China
As a supplement to the trade fair in Nuremberg and its sister events in Italy and China, the new formats will further accelerate and facilitate the exchange of knowledge in the field of industrial automation between the economic regions of the USA and Europe. This is particularly relevant against the background of the current challenges in the areas of supply chains, logistics, staff shortages and cost pressure, because this is accompanied by an increased need for automation.
