Djokovic is better than Steffi Graf today

Grand-Slam-Rekordsieger Novak Djokovic has with the beginning of the new week Germany’s tennis queen Steffi Graf trumped. The Serb spends his 378th overall week at the top of the world rankings and thus tore the all-gender record of 22-time Grand Slam winner per se.
“Of course it is in a way surreal to be number one in the world for so many weeks, to catch up with Steffi Graf, who is one of the greats of our sport. It’s just flattering to be under those legendary names. I’m very proud of it,” said Djokovic in Dubai.
On ATP level Djokovic has long been world ranking record holder, Roger Federer follows in the all-time ranking at 310 weeks in second place. Djokovic will probably no longer catch up with the Swiss “Maestro” in the longest-lasting series at the top: he would have to hold the position for 233 more weeks.
