The International Olympic Committee announced on Sunday that North American gymnast Jordan Chiles will have to forfeit the bronze medal she won in the individual final at Paris 2024 to Romanian Ana Barbusu due to a decision by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
The Olympic body’s decision came after the International Gymnastics Federation announced it would abide by the CAS ruling – which ruled in Barboso’s favour – as it placed responsibility for rectifying the medal awarding situation on the IOC.
