This is the team everyone is talking about at the end of the season, after their victory in the Coupe de France: FC Nantes. The locker roomthe cult program of RMC Sport, was therefore invited to La Baujoire, to come back with the players on this beautiful moment, and the life of the club, between confidences and anecdotes.
After Lens, Strasbourg, Rennes and Marseille, this fifth issue of the season Changing room, the program which gives the floor to the players, is dedicated to FC Nantes. Logically, do we want to write, as the club marked this end of the 2021-22 season, by winning the final of the Coupe de France against Nice (1-0). A trophy that the Canaries had not lifted for 22 years, and which came to reward the supporters, after several difficult seasons. It is in this context that the cameras of RMC Sport were able to settle in the Nantes locker room, without a host, to give the floor to Ludovic Blas, Alban Lafont, Wilan Cyprien and Randal Kolu Muani, for a meeting to follow this Friday May 20 at 9 p.m. on RMC Sport, and then in replay.
The locker room, it’s the program with a unique concept from RMC Sport, which allows the players of a team to exchange with each other, without the presence of a host at their side. Only the voice-over of Flora Moussy, usual presenter of PL Live, guides them in their exchanges, which thanks to this format are very different from declarations in press conferences or after the match, which often boil down to “the important thing is the 3 points”. By reproducing the intimate atmosphere of the locker room, where the filming takes place, the players let themselves go, and do not hesitate to chain jokes, secrets and anecdotes, to give us the best possible overview of the atmosphere that can reign within of a team.
The secrets of Blas on Kombouaré
For this special FC Nantes issue, there is also a guest of honor: the Coupe de France! Two weeks after the Canaries’ victory over the Aiglons, she sits proudly in the middle of the locker room, while Ludovic Blas looks back on a key moment during the Nantes course. He says that when coach Antoine Kombouaré gave him the armband, he also slipped it “Show me that I was not wrong”to which the club’s top scorer said he replied:
“It’s going to be fine, I’m going to give everything to go to the Stade de France. I didn’t say we were going to win, I said we were going to go to the Stade de France!”.
The rest of the story, we know it. Not only did FC Nantes go to the Stade de France to play in the final of the Coupe de France, but they also won it, thanks to a goal from the penalty spot by… Ludovic Blas. The latter, not stingy with confidences, did not hesitate to come back to his relationship, visibly complicated, with the coach with a strong character. Because the two men had already known each other at Guingamp, and were not really the best friends in the world, according to what the Nantes number 10 says:
