The Spanish Village back on television with recordings in Valencia

VALENCIA – What happened to the popular TV show ‘The Spanish Village’ that was so popular in the pre-corona year and was set in Polopos in the province of Granada? The Spanish version was the second season after the first season was set in Ollolai on the Italian island of Sardinia. The third season was also supposed to be set in a village in (probably) the Andalusian village of Zuheros in the province of Córdoba, but the pandemic caused it to be cancelled. But, now there will be a third and again Spanish season of ‘The Spanish Village’ that will be recorded somewhere in the autonomous Valencia region.

The glossy Spain magazine SPANISH! reports to her website that there is a call on the RTL website where candidates can register. This is now also over RTL 4 and there is a video in which images can be seen of a village in the Valencia region. But, we don’t know yet which village it is. It is of course also not yet known when The Spanish Village season 3 will be shown on TV again.

However, there is a search for four families or couples who have to set up a new company in a few months and work together on a house. At the end of their adventure, only one family or couple can win the renovated house and with it a future in Spain.

The new village is located in the beautiful surroundings of Valencia. Here the last baker has closed its doors. There is no physio, yoga or sports instructor anymore. No shops, hotels, no plumbers and contractors. The school is threatened with closure due to the lack of children. To turn the tide, adventurous Dutch people with a good plan to breathe new life into the village are welcomed here with open arms.

This is the perfect opportunity for couples and families who dream of living and working in Spain. Do you dream of an adventure in beautiful Spain and are you creative, enterprising as a couple, duo or family and do you want to help put this new Spanish village on the map? Then sign up at THIS ONE website. The recordings will take place from May to August 2023. The broadcast date will be announced later.

Season 2 of ‘Spanish Village: Polopos’ was very successful for RTL4 and the viewers were also very satisfied. Perhaps it was the Spanish language, the Spanish atmosphere or the proximity that makes it easy to visit the village, or perhaps it was the nice candidates that made the producers decide to return to Spain for season three of Het Dorp.
