The Spanish brand appeared in Poland in autumn 2017, signing contracts with URW, which is the owner of shopping centers in Poland. The first two Sfera stores opened in the Wroclavia gallery in Wrocław and in the Galeria Mokotów shopping center in Warsaw. A year later, the flagship store in Warsaw’s Westfield Arkadia.
This store was closed as the first one this spring. Back then, the shop staff at Galeria Mokotów assured us that this point would not be closed. However, recently the other two Sfera stores in Poland were also closed.
We sent questions about Sfera’s exit from Poland to the El Corte Ingles press office in Spain, but we have not received any answers yet.

Fashion brands are leaving Poland
The fact is that after opening three stores, the network decided not to open stores in other cities. In the meantime, there was a pandemic and the ensuing lockdowns, which gave shopping centers and their tenants a hard time. They contributed to the exit of some brands from Polish galleries – such a step was taken in 2020 by the French chain of boutiques with fashion for women Camaieu and Promodand last your stores The Orsay chain from France has also been closed.

The Sfera chain sells clothing for women and men as well as accessories. On the shelves of stores, we can find both timeless classics and hot trends of the season. Sfera’s offer is similar to that of Zara, which also comes from Spain, hence it is sometimes called the “Second Zara”.
Sfera was established as a private label of the famous Spanish chain of department stores El Corte Ingles, whose history dates back to 1940. The brand expansion began in 2002. Apart from Spain, Sfera has its own stores, incl. in Mexico, Portugal or Greece. It is developed through a franchise in most markets.
