This process is necessary to manage procedures related to nationality and to present documents, so it is important that you take advantage of the month of September to secure your position, if necessary on.

The Spanish authorities indicated in July that their Consulate in Havana was one of the offices that issued the most passports in 2023. Likewise, they indicated that, between October 2022 and December 2023, that 226,354 applications were received in the consular network, with 110,540 approved files and 69,421 registrations.

In the same report, the Spanish government indicated that the offices of Buenos Aires issued the most passports, with 38,127 documents, and in second place was Havana, with 25,221 of these.

The so-called Law of Democratic Memory, which includes the famous “Virgin Law” in Cuba, includes those children who were previously excluded due to ‘ most of them, and establishing two assumptions for being able to request Spanish nationality.
