The award ceremony for this check, which took place in Madrid, was attended by the president of the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Madrid, Laura Ruiz de Galarreta, and the director of Corporate Communication for El Corte Inglés, Ester Uriol.
El Corte Inglés has maintained a close collaboration with the Spanish Association Against Cancer for years, and the result of this is the joint project they develop in favor of research against breast cancer. This is an initiative that has evolved very positively and has made it possible to fully finance four projects carried out in various research centers in Spain to date. The current project, which has an estimated duration of five years, focuses on personalized immunotherapy and is developed by a multidisciplinary team from the Hospitals Clinic de Barcelona, Universitario 12 de Octubre (Madrid), Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology-VHIO ( Barcelona) and the University of Navarra, under the direction of Dr. Aleix Prat.
These types of actions are framed within the policy of commitment to society developed by El Corte Inglés and which leads it to participate responsibly in different social, cultural, educational and sports activities.
