jpnn.com, JAKARTA – South Sumatra Police have examined the child Akidi Tio named Heryanty in the case of alleged fraud in the donation of funds for handling the COVID-19 pandemic amounting to Rp. 2 trillion.
In addition, investigators are also investigating the matter of Bank Mandiri’s bilyet giro which reads Rp Heryanty.
The Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Police, Kombes Supriadi, said that from the results of the examination, it was found that the balance in Heryanty’s account was less than Rp. 2 trillion.
“For the development of the case of Sister Heryanty, after we checked with Bank Mandiri at the South Sumatra branch, the existing bilyet giro did not have enough money,” Supriadi told reporters, Tuesday (3/8).
Due to insufficient balance, the bank cannot withdraw the money in the amount listed on the bilyet giro.
Supriadi explained that the bank also could not reveal the actual balance in Heryanty’s account.
“The amount is a secret from the bank, it cannot be disclosed. We only got clarity that the money was not enough. The current account in circulation is correct, but the money is not enough,” added Supariadi.
Today’s examination of Heryanty was also postponed after investigators received news that Akidi Tio’s youngest child was sick.
