LBH Ansor as attorney Cristalino David Ozora (17) urged the police to apply the attempted murder article to the child of a former tax official, Mario Dandy Satrio (20), and Shane Luke (19). The South Jakarta Metro Police said that the application of the article must be in accordance with the facts that happened.
“Yes, the article is developing, but there must be facts, the facts are clear. Yesterday, that was all,” said South Jakarta Metro Police Public Relations Head AKP Nurma Dewi to reporters, Sunday (26/2/2023).
Nurma explained that the article applied to the two suspects is the most powerful article so far. However, said Nurma, if there are changes along the way, that will be under the authority of the investigators.
“We have implemented it, in our opinion, it is the strongest. In the future, other developments may be made by investigators who will conclude,” he said.
Previously, the police had named Mario Dandy Satrio (20) and Shane as suspects in the abuse of Cristalino David Ozora (17). Now there is pressure for the police to charge both of them with attempted murder.
This was disclosed by LBH Ansor as David’s attorney who is the son of a member of the GP Ansor central board. LBH Ansor assessed that the abuse committed by the child of the former Director General of Taxes had led to attempted murder.
“Yes, we are also going there. In principle, according to the existing legal facts that lead to that article. We are currently also pursuing it in Article 354 and Article 355, there is a plan. So that it can lead to murder planning,” said the legal team. David, M Syahwan Arey, to reporters, Saturday (25/2).
Syahwan said that the brutal persecution that was perpetrated on David was not accidental. He believed the sadistic act had been premeditated.
Syahwan said the meeting between Mario and David that led to this brutal persecution was started by A’s complaint. Mario Dandy, said Syahwan, used A’s cell phone to ‘lure’ David out.
“Because initially they had planned to meet with the victim. From there, we saw CCTV circulating, that was the intention there (planning) because it was severe persecution by not using emotions like humans anymore. This action indicated there (murder) ),” he said.
Furthermore, he also encouraged the police to apply the alleged article to the parties involved in the persecution.
In this case Mario Dandy Satrio was charged with Article 76c juncto Article 80 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning amendments to RI Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning the Protection of Subsidiary Children Article 351 paragraph 2 concerning serious abuse. Meanwhile, Shane, who is Mario’s friend, is charged with Article 76 letter C juncto Article 80 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.
