A previous match between the two teams, the South American Football Association “CONMEBOL” decided to postpone the match between Argentina and its host Peru in the fourth round of the Latin continent qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.
In an official statement today, Monday, Konmebol said: “The Police General Command in Peru agreed to provide all guarantees for the match between Peru and Argentina, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Tuesday, in Lima.”
The statement added: “The teams of Peru and Argentina must be present at the specified date for the South American qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, at the National Stadium in Lima, starting at 19:30 (local time).”
After three rounds of qualifying matches, the Argentine national team is in the runners-up position with 7 points, two points behind the Brazilian leaders, compared to one point for Peru in eighth place.
