‘The Soundtrack for ‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor of Thieves’ will Feature Mylène Farmer as a Signing Artist’

The queen of French pop in the service of an American blockbuster: it is a song by Mylène Farmer that will dress the film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Thieves, expected on April 12 at the cinema. Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez, the stars of the feature film, announced it Sunday evening in a video published by Paramount.

“We are happy to announce the name of the artist who interprets the credits, it is a true icon”, they rejoice during these few seconds.

A song for French releases

For now, no details have been released on this song. The Parisian raises the possibility that it is an existing title, but specifies that it was written by the singer herself and that a clip was shot on the occasion of the release of the film. The newspaper adds that it will be unveiled at the beginning of the week, the film crew being invited to Daily Tuesday evening before a preview at the Grand Rex the next day.

This title by Mylène Farmer will accompany Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Thieves in about fifteen French-speaking countries. In English-speaking countries, it is the title Wings of Time of the Australian group Tame Impala which will be used.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Thieves, by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, is a new film adapted from the role-playing game created in the 1970s by Americans Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson. It follows a trilogy of films released between 2000 and 2012, Dungeons and Dragons, Dungeons and Dragons: Supreme Power et Dungeons and Dragons 3: The Book of Darkness.

Chris Pine described this new Dungeons and Dragonsin an interview with Collider in March 2022, as a mixture of Game of Thrones and of Princess Bridewith a hint of holy grail Monty Pythons and even a few Goonies and the spirit of the 1980s. Regé Jean Page and Hugh Grant are also in the cast.
