The conductor has participated in the music recording of the film of Latvian origin composer Lolita Ritmanis Maris Sirmais and artists of the State Academic Choir “Latvia”, as well as an orchestra created especially for the film. Edgars Saksons, the producer of the orchestra and the winner of the Latvian Grand Music Prize, has brought together musicians from the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, the Latvian National Opera and Ballet, the Sinfonietta Rīga Chamber Orchestra and the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music. The music was recorded in the 1st studio of Latvijas Radio by Māra Briežkalns and sound director Vara Kurmiņa virsvadībā. The film’s instrumentation consultant is Larry Rench from the USA, while the music was mixed by American producer and sound director Mark Matson.
In turn, the album, which includes music from the film “Soul Blower”, was recognized as the best music recording in the “Golden Microphone” of the year award in the category “Instrumental or Intergenerational Music Album”.
