GALLNEUKIRCHEN. The fourteenth edition of the Klangfestival will take place from August 19th to 20th
The festival will open on August 19 at 7 p.m. The great Viennese dream pop band ZINN starts the brilliant festival round in the old fire brigade hall. Then we continue with David Granstrom. The ceremonial conclusion is made by what is probably the most exciting punk-pop formation from Austria at the moment: Bipolar Feminin. The diverse music program is supplemented with audio-video installations on the festival grounds, a game station (the sound festival as a computer game) and this year’s festival magazine.
Premiere in the old indoor pool
The second day of the festival (August 20) begins at 4:00 p.m. with a premiere in the old indoor swimming pool in Gallneukirchen. Susanna Gartmayer, icon of the local jazz scene, will explore the unique spatial sound in the old indoor pool for the first time with her famous bass clarinet. After that, a local celebrity takes over: the theater group Malaria presents this year’s festival magazine and the writers read from their texts on the festival theme. The program in the indoor pool is accessible with free admission. Seating cards are available on site. First come first serve. In the evening, the old fire station opens its doors again. Another festival highlight will be playing at 7 p.m.: Innode with Bernhard Breuer (Elektro Guzzi, Tumido) and Stefan Németh (former member of Radian) will open the festival finale with their magical rhythm machine.
