The Soul DXB Festival Returns with an Unforgettable Lineup and Experiences for Culture and Music Fans

The Soul Platform revealed the return of the Soul DXB Festival, the region’s highly anticipated culture, youth and contemporary lifestyle festival, with its new edition at TECOM Group’s Dubai Design District between December 8 and 10, as the opening event of the 29th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival. The platform represents the official partner of the Hip-Hop 50 initiative in the Arab world, in cooperation with Mass Appeal Production Company, as this edition of the festival promises to provide unforgettable experiences, with a group of performances by a number of talented artists in the fields of hip-hop, fashion, visual arts and sports.

The festival also includes interactive dialogue sessions with a group of important and influential individuals in this type of music. The Soul platform also announced the participation of another group of artists, to ensure an unprecedented experience, celebrating hip-hop culture among the younger generation.

The list of newly announced artists includes Arlo Parks, the young British singer and songwriter nominated for a Grammy Award. The lineup also includes seven-member band Cocoroco from London, who will perform on Sunday, December 10, at Rhode’s Diner, the festival’s lounge.

This year, the Soul DXB Festival, in partnership with Gulf Photo Plus, will host the photo exhibition “Occupied Pleasures” by artist Tania Habjouga. The exhibition presents an accurate depiction of humanity’s ability to find joy in the face of difficult circumstances in Palestine, through a group of three-dimensional portraits.

Sol DXP and Dubai Design District collaborate once again, presenting fashion lovers with the Spotlight by d3 exhibition. The exhibition provides the opportunity to explore original collections spanning cultures, by emerging designers from the UAE, South Africa, Palestine, the United Kingdom, Finland, Spain, Lebanon and others.

Rudy’s Diner, the main lounge of Soul DXB Festival, will host a series of live shows on the opening night, available during the day, for ages 21 and over. This year, the talk show, which is considered one of the most prominent events of the festival, also hosts dialogues with distinguished figures from the fashion, music, publishing and design sectors.
