The beloved Princess Diana would have been sixty years old on July 1 this year. To commemorate her, a memorial statue was unveiled in the garden of Kensington Palace.

Despite the fact that there is a long-standing disagreement between the royal family and Prince Harry, who “left” it, Harry still measured the way from his place of residence in the United States to his homeland to take part in the unveiling ceremony. The statue was unveiled by Diana’s two sons, Harry and William, and is one of the few times in the last year and a half that the brothers meet and speak.

“Brothers together again” – this title adorns the largest British tabloid “Mail Online”. The two princes honored the mother’s memory with a poignant poem, but already after the opening, they both walked around the castle garden, greeting the close relatives of Princess Diana. “We want Mom to be with us every day,” Harry and William said.

Prince Harry left the event 90 minutes after it began and went either to the cottage or immediately to Heathrow Airport to fly back to the United States, where she was met by Ms Megan and the children; the youngest offspring was born on June 4th.

Prince Charles, Diana’s ex-husband and father of both princes, had not attended the event. Earlier in the media, Prince Charles will not take part in the garden event because he “does not want to tear up old scars,” said a source close to the royal family.

The statue in honor of Diana confirms her love for people, especially children, whose living conditions were not bright. It was planned to install such a monument four years ago, and now the idea has come true. Before the unveiling, the monument stood in its place for a week, locked in a metal box.

It is known that the Princess of Wales died in a car accident on 31 August 1997 at the age of 36. Harry and William were young boys at the time.
