New reinforcements
The series Ulice has been entertaining viewers for almost eighteen years. During that time, a number of actors and actresses took turns in it. This time you can look forward to a new reinforcement performed by long-time member of Prague’s Sklep theater Jan Slovák and twins Jan and Jiří Dlouhý, sons of the late actor Vladimír Dlouhý. The eXtra.cz editorial team was informed about this by Nova TV.
New reinforcements are heading to the endless series Ulice. One of them is charismatic actor Jan Slovák, who has been working in the Sklep theater for a long time. There, he will play the character of therapist Jan Reidl, who, according to TV Nova, the actor has given a completely new dimension to.

“Meeting and filming with Jan Slovák was very pleasant for me, he was excellently prepared for the role from the beginning and portrayed his character very believably. I hope that we will be able to transfer my impression to TV screens, but I really felt like a real couples therapist,” his acting colleague Markéta Stehlíková confided.
Twins of Vladimír Dlouhy
Another new addition are the twins and sons of Vladimír Dlouhé and Petra Jungmanová, Jan and Jiří Dlouzí. In the series, they will play the roles of Marko and Matěj Dvořák, who have just transferred to gympl. “I considered all possible paths, but I didn’t hesitate for too long because I was excited about the role,” admitted Jiří Dlouhý.
“The offer from Ulica surprised me. From the beginning, I wasn’t sure if we should accept such a regular filming schedule when we are in the first year at the Prague Conservatory, where missing classes is considered a ‘fatal act’. We decided to shoot mainly on weekends, so I accepted the offer with ease. I was looking forward to shooting regularly because it’s good practice for me. And fun at the same time. You really don’t get bored while filming. I’m often nervous on set. But when it spins, the nerves go away.” added his brother.
The Long Brothers clearly inherited their parents’ genes. Their father Vladimír Dlouhý was one of the best Czech actors ever. Their mother Petra Jungmanová became famous thanks to the series Ulice, where she played the mother of Václav Matějovský. She remembers her late husband to this day.
“It was a very nice period, from which the most precious thing remained for me – two wonderful and healthy sons,” she revealed in an interview for novinky.cz. Vladimír Dlouhý died in 2010 from pancreatic and stomach cancer.
