Since last September, the group “Sweet Faces” has been publishing a new song dedicated to each specific month on the first day of each month. At the end of the project “12”, singers Zigfrīds Muktupāvels and Ivo Fomins joined the group in the song “Augusts”.
The August song recording studio was produced by Gints Stankevičs, who is also the producer of all (except one) songs of the previous month, while the video version of the song uses the materials of all 11 video versions of the songs. “At first, it seemed like one song a month was nothing, especially because the composers were different, not just the bands. [“Saldās sejas”] participants. But with each passing song, a sense of responsibility grew. Often the songs were changed and rewritten just a few days before they were published. It also happened with the August song, which was changed only four days ago, when we realized that the previously selected and recorded would not be the right one. Then Siegfried and Ivo were attracted, who, being good friends, did not refuse, ”says the author of the song’s music and lyrics Guntars Račs.
