70 years after the release of the classic adaptation of Arkady Gaidar’s famous story “Chuk and Gek” directed by Ivan Lukinsky, modern director Alexander Kott decided to overshadow his success and shot – let’s not fear this word – the blockbuster “Chuk and Gek. Great Adventure”. All secular Moscow gathered for the first screening of a film filled with many special effects and grandiose shooting with the participation of a huge number of stars.

One of the children’s surprises of the new “Chuk and Huck” was that the older brother Huck was played by the son of the deceased actor Yuri Stepanov – Yura Stepanov Jr. He was born 17 days after the tragic death of his 42-year-old father in a traffic accident in March 2010.
The boy is a copy of his father. For him, this is the third film role. Now – main. He famously worked on the site in the bitter cold and wasn’t afraid to play in the shot with a bear, a goat, horses and a pack of wolves. And he did the stunts of him.
In the beginning, the film adheres to the pattern of Gaidar’s story. Viewers are shown a geologist dad who works in the taiga (Vladimir Vdovichenkov). Then we are transferred to Moscow, where his mother (Yulia Snigir) and two friendly children are waiting for him in a large communal apartment. Young Chuk was played by Andryusha Andreev, who had already played with Vdovichenkov in the comedy “Dad”.
Gradually, the filmmakers deviate from the classic plot and replenish the picture with interesting characters. It turns out that the brothers’ mother works as a singer. And at her performance, the guys make a funny fuss in front of the hero Roman Madyanov. Then, like in a book, a telegram arrives to her mother and she takes the children to their father’s for New Year’s Eve in the taiga. Raisa Dmitrenko, the winner of the Voice 60+ show, played the conductor of the train, and Timofey Tribuntsev played the role of their fellow traveler.
We will not reveal all the twists and turns. The show was breathtaking. Quite worthy to take the kids to the cinema before the new year. Every celebrity we interviewed at the premiere liked the tape.
The six-year-old son of Anna Legchilova and Igor Bochkin Vanechka, born when she was 46 and he was 59, was very interested in his mother – when he will also act in films and become Gek or Chuk.
– Better immediately Bondarchuk – smiled Legchilova.
