Thodupuzha: A mother hopes for her son who went missing three decades ago. Seventy-year-old Girija, a native of Thodupuzha and Manakkad, is moving forward with her life waiting for her son Sajan Kumar, who went missing from her residence in Delhi in 1994.
In the 1990s, Girija, along with her children Sajjan and Sneha, moved to Delhi’s R.K. Reaching Puram. R.K. His son studied in Kerala Public School, Puram. When the 10th class exam results came out, Sajan did not get the expected marks. His father scolded him for that. A dejected Sajan left home on the night of August 17, 1994. On the same day, R.K. A complaint was lodged at the Puram police station, but the investigation led nowhere.
A few months later, Sajan received a letter saying that he had been offered a temporary job at a Maruti company in Uttar Pradesh. Later, letters would come at intervals of two months. The content of the letter was that he was afraid that he might return and that his father would fight. But there was no indication of residence or other information. Sometimes letters were sent under the name of Suresh Kumar.
In 1996, when Chandrasekharan Nair retired from work, the family returned home. Chandrasekaran Nair died 12 years ago. After getting her daughter married, Girija was left alone at Manakkate house.
