Next Monday, October 28, it arrives at County Theatre from Barcelona the solidarity concert Originals x amora concert that merges the projects Originals – Cicle de Compositors Catalans de Teatre Musical and Amor x amor, both promoted by Marisol Gonzalez.
Originals x amor presents in concert, in a single night, a selection of the songs of the five composers who during the first half of 2024 have starred in the ENCUENTRO hall in Abrera in the five concerts of the second edition of the Originals cycle, Cycle of Catalan Theater Composers Musical. These composers are: Núria Llausí, Carles Alarcon, Mateu Peramiquel, Dídac Flores y Gerard Sesé.
Originals x amor will be directed by Alicia Serratwho participated as a composer in the first edition of the Originals cycle in 2018 and who has directed all editions of the Amor x amor solidarity concert.
The benefits of the concert will go to the entity ACPAE, Catalan Association for the Prevention of School Bullying. The purpose of this entity is to develop preventive behavior in boys and girls and adolescents aimed at resolving conflicts in the school and social environment; and the learning of psychological, social and physical techniques with which to confront bullying or bullying. bullying and cyberbullying.
The solidarity concert Originals x amoron piano and voice, will consist of a repertoire made up entirely of songs written by each of the composers, performed by different professional musical theater performers. As in the concerts of the Originals cycle, in this single concert each composer will have complete freedom to prepare his brief program and to choose the performers who will give voice to his songs, thus creating a unique and unrepeatable recital, in which you can hear both unreleased songs, such as songs that have already been part of a show.
The union of the five composers and their work in a single night will be a totally unprecedented experience that will show the great level of authorship that we have in the world of musical theater in our country.
Catalonia is the birthplace of many professional musical theater creators who often do not have the necessary platform to promote their works, nor to put on their shows. For this reason, the Originals series wants to give a voice to these musicians, so that they can show the work they have done in recent years, much of which has not yet been able to come to light.
The first edition of the Originals cycle was promoted by Marisol Gonzalez, Mariona Castillo and the entity nowArtand took place in 2018 in nowArt Guinardó, a space for artistic coexistence where trainings, residencies and samples of works in progress take place every week. In 2018, the cycle featured concerts by six composers who, years later, have consolidated their artistic careers: Alicia Serrat, Dani Campos, Andrew Gallen, Miquel Tejada, Ferran Gonzalez y Marc Sambola.
Originals x amor is produced by the Create and Share Association, a sociocultural entity created in 2023 by Carol Luque y Marisol Gonzalez with the aim of promoting culture, creativity, diversity and the need to share and create synergies.
