Alexey Kornienko is the brand new chief conductor.
A couple of days earlier than the beginning of the season, the director of the Sofia Philharmonic, Yavor Dimitrov, introduced new appointments – the ensemble now has the long-awaited chief conductor. His title is Alexey Kornienko and he’s identified to the viewers from his appearances within the final 3 years. The maestro comes from Austria, the place he has been residing and dealing for 19 years. There he led the chamber orchestra Collegium Musicum Carinthia.
Alexey Kornienko is a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory, and at present holds the publish of music director of the Moscow State Radio Orchestra.
