‘The Snow Society’ prevails at the halfway point of the Goya with ten awards – 2024-02-13 14:09:14

The Snow Society’ by Juan Antonio Bayona clearly imposes its dominance at the halfway point of the Goya gala with a total of ten statuettes, most of them in technical categories.

Bayona’s film about the 1972 aerial tragedy in the Andes, also nominated for an Oscar, has already won awards for best editing, cinematography, art direction, production direction, original music, sound, costumes, special effects , makeup and hair.

In addition, the Argentine Matias Recalt has won the award for best new actor.

On the other hand, José Coronado won the best supporting actor for ‘Cerrar los ojos’ by Víctor Erice and Rigoberta Bandoni won the best original song for ‘I only want love’ from ‘I’m loving you madly’.

Many of those awarded for ‘The Snow Society’ have thanked the support of Netflix, producers of the film that could win tonight, if this trend continues, their first Goya for best film.

The 38th edition of the Goyas began with a nod to “the dream gala” of the Javis, who went from being in their pajamas on a sofa in a simulated living room at home to the real stage of the Goyas, alongside Ana Belén.
