The Snapdragon Chipset in the Galaxy S22 Series is Samsung’s answer to fans’ questions

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Samsung decided to use chipset Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on the latest flagship smartphone Galaxy S22 series which was officially launched in Indonesia on Wednesday (10/2/2022) last night.

Dominikus Susanto, Senior Manager, Business Development, Qualcomm Indonesia, said that his party is proud to embed chipset Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on Samsung Galaxy S22 series which is marketed in Indonesia considering that Samsung is a smartphone manufacturer partner in Indonesia which is the first to use this chipset.

According to him, the equivalent of this chipset is pinned to the Galaxy S22 series considering its position as a flagship smartphone.

“This is a flagship product that has always been a benchmark for the smartphone industry as well as the aspirations of consumers who have always wanted to own the Galaxy S series,” said Dominikus Susanto in a virtual talk show dissecting Galaxy S22 series the latest with the media, Thursday (10/2/2022).

“This latest product answers many questions that previously asked when Samsung used a Snapdragon processor. Now the smartphone is here, let’s buy it,” added Dominikus.

Verry Octavianus, Product Marketing Manager Mobile Experience at Samsung Electronics Indonesia (SEIN) said, with its technology, Galaxy S22 series this will be the new standard in flagship smartphones in Indonesia.

“Now we are back to listening to consumers who have been waiting, why not use Snapdragon. Especially this time we present (Galaxy S22 series) with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, so that it can provide innovation, performance and also the experience of using the camera more optimally,” said Verry.

In terms of performance, chipset Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 has 30 percent better performance when compared to the Exynos 2100 chipset that was previously used. However, this chipset performs on par with the Exynos 2200 which is also installed in the Galaxy S22 series specifically for the West Asia, Africa and Middle East market.

Versy explained, series Galaxy S22 series which was launched last Wednesday, consists of three models in 2 designs. Namely the Galaxy S22 5G and S22+ 5G, as well as the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The Galaxy S22 5G and S22+ 5G have a 50MP main camera, a 10MP tele-lens, and a 12MP ultra-wide lens to get the highest quality image and video captures.
