The brand new VRT weather forecaster recently told this newspaper: she has been suffering from her voice for several weeks. She was still not freed from that on Tuesday evening. Jacotte immediately apologized for that, and Erik Van Looy also apologized several times for his cracking voice.

Jury member Bockie De Repper managed to surprise with some news. For example, Bockie plans to launch its own deep-fried snack. “It’s in the brainstorming phase, but I have big news about something on my bucket list: we’re negotiating my own chip shop snack,” Bockie said. “It’s not a joke, but it was a funny moment when I had to pitch the idea to all the marketing people. I would like to launch the ‘Bockies cheese cloves’ on the market.” The Aalst resident had also already thought about the packaging. “Then you get a package like that in the chip shop, in the shape of a foot,” he explained. “And then with the five toes.” Unfortunately for Bockie, that idea was met with a rather lukewarm reception.

Not much later, a heated discussion followed among the candidates about… bananas, yes. After presenter Erik Van Looy asked Elisabeth Lucie Baeten if she liked eating bananas, she said no. “That is constipating,” he said. “I speak as a person who has had to take her intestines into account for sixteen years. If I eat one, it’s ruined.” A statement that both Maureen and Bockie disagreed with, and expressed so. Jury member Barbara Sarafian also joined the discussion and said that you should not give constipated babies a banana. “Kiwis do help,” she noted. When Jacotte tried to calm the discussion by saying it might be arbitrary, Sarafian immediately shut her up. “No, honey, that’s something different,” she said decisively. Erik Van Looy couldn’t believe that this discussion actually took place in his quiz.

During the game, the candidates kept pace until the video round. Jacotte Brokken was able to walk away and was subsequently crowned the winner of the episode. Elisabeth Lucie Baeten came second, Maureen Vanherberghen third.
Because their scores were close to each other, the final was evenly matched for a long time. Ultimately, the game turned in Maureen’s favor. Thanks to her knowledge about Dua Lipa, she was able to play the opponent home. “I think it’s okay,” Baeten responded after her defeat. “I’m already very happy that I was able to come back.”
