The researcher in sleep disorders, Dr. Abdullah Al-Qarni, confirmed that “the National Committee for Public Health has indicated that all age groups in the Kingdom suffer from a lack of sleep duration compared to western countries and some eastern countries.”

And Dr. Abdullah indicated, during an interview with Al-Ikhbariya channel, that “one of the studies conducted in 2006 showed that the sleep of students in the primary stage in the Kingdom is very little, and less than what is recommended globally.”

Al-Qarni explained that an update on the data of the study several months ago on high school students has proven that about 50% of the total sample of 2,900 people also slept less than what is recommended globally.
