The Škoda Enyaq has passed crash tests

According to EuroNCAP, the Škoda Enyaq iV is a car with excellent active and passive safety. This is evidenced by the five stars awarded, respectively. 86% in the overall rating.

Today, however, virtually every car has five stars due to advanced assistance systems, so the percentage ratings in individual disciplines are more telling. These are the protection of adult passengers, the protection of children, the protection of so-called vulnerable road users, and finally assistance systems.

The percentages are high, which is not surprising when we see how little the enyaq body deforms on impact. In terms of adult protection inside the car, the rating is 94% the best, and according to the EuroNCAP website, the vast majority of their body parts are protected “well”, ie the best grade on a five-point scale.

In the video, notice the function of the central airbag between the front seats; serves to prevent the driver and front passenger from colliding with their heads in a side impact.

In the event of a side impact on the pillar, the deployment of the center airbag can be seen nicely.

Child protection is only slightly worse with 89%, with inattentive pedestrians and cyclists it is weaker with 71%. According to the video, however, enyaq can stop in front of a person in most standardized cases. However, these are standard cases. When a cyclist literally walks a meter in front of a truck in front of a bumper, the guards will do nothing about it.

Safety assistance systems, such as autonomous emergency braking or an active lane keeper, received a total of 82%. According to the video, they work well even at night.
