At first, the Sixers had wanted to be reassuring with the left knee of Ben Simmons, but the examinations revealed a subluxation of the patella of the left knee! The ligaments are not affected but the All-Star point guard from Philly will remain in care for an indefinite period.
This is, for the technical staff, to prevent it from happening again or getting worse, and there will undoubtedly be work to strengthen the muscles of the thigh and those surrounding the kneecap (or “patella” ) to stabilize the joint. According to the Sixers, it will take 24 hours to consider a more precise downtime.
This is obviously a big blow for the Sixers who have been looking for themselves since the start of the season, and who wanted to take advantage of the recovery to shift Simmons to the position of winger. Brett Brown will therefore review his plans… Perhaps he will shift Harris to post 4, and integrate Matisse Thybulle into the starting five.
