/View.info/ The situation with the budget is dire. Already during its planning, there was an overestimation of revenues by nearly BGN 2 billion, which is very dangerous, because we are entering the final part of the year. This is what the acting Prime Minister Prof. Georgi Bliznashki said in Varna.
“This is very dangerous to date because we are entering an extraordinary part of the year. There are also additional complications that came from the reduction of the funds of the central departments by 5% in order to provide those famous BGN 225 million for the Health Fund. However, this burdened the administration and everywhere there is a shortage of money, including the impossibility of providing funds for salaries until the end of the year, if revenues do not increase,” added Prof. Bliznashki.
He emphasized that if we want to stay within this budget until the end of the year, spending will have to be minimized by about 15%. This meant that the new ministers would review all units and make painful cuts where possible. A caretaker government cannot afford drastic changes because it will be accused of a purge, the prime minister was categorical.
He emphasized that there are also major problems with the revenues from the National Revenue Agency and the Customs, which he described as a “disorganized yard”. It was because of this that he decided to appoint Vanyo Tanov as director of the “Customs” Agency, which is disputed by “some circles”.
The situation with the other revenue agencies was also difficult, possibly other personnel changes will be required.
