President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he had been talking with French President Emmanuel Macron for an hour. They discussed cooperation in the military sphere, as well as the situation on the line of contact.
“In an hour-long conversation with Emmanuel Macron, we substantively and effectively discussed the defense cooperation between Ukraine and France. I informed in detail about the situation on the front line,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram channel. In addition, the presidents discussed steps to implement the Ukrainian peace formula and coordinated actions for the next international meetings.
On January 4, during a telephone conversation with Vladimir Zelensky, the President of France, according to French media sources, promised to supply modern AMX-10 RC battle tanks. The last personal meeting between Vladimir Zelensky and Emmanuel Macron was in Paris on February 9.
