The situation on the eastern front has drastically worsened

This is related to the significant activation of enemy attacks after the so-called presidential elections in Russia, says Sirskis on his channel of the “Telegram” app.

“The enemy is actively attacking our positions in the direction of Liman, Bakhmut, using strike groups with the support of armored vehicles. In the direction of Pokrovsk [krievi] trying to break through our defenses using dozens of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles. This is facilitated by the warm and dry weather, which made most of the open terrain accessible to tanks. Despite significant losses, the enemy increases its efforts by using new armored units, thanks to which it periodically achieves tactical successes,” the general emphasizes.

Sirskis added that the first day of his work in the operation area was dedicated to the eastern direction, in order to take all the necessary measures to stabilize the situation, increase the level of efficiency of the Ukrainian troops and inflict maximum damage to the enemy.

“Based on the conclusions (..) about the nature of the enemy’s activity, decisions were made aimed at strengthening the most problematic defense areas with means of radio-electronic warfare and anti-aircraft defense. All types of unmanned aerial vehicles and anti-tank missile stocks were also replenished, as well as reserves of additional forces and equipment were moved “, the commander-in-chief stated.

He emphasized that the need to achieve technical superiority over the Russian army in the field of high-tech weapons has reappeared. Sirskis believes that only this will allow defeating the enemy, which has a numerical advantage, and taking over the strategic initiative.

“The second serious problem is improving the quality of training of soldiers, mainly infantry units, so that they can make maximum use of all types of combat equipment and the capabilities of Western armaments. First of all, solving this task is entrusted to the leadership of the Ground Forces, which has fully returned from the area of ​​​​combat operations,” writes the commander-in-chief.

“We are aware of the real scale and degree of the enemy’s threat and are ready to take adequate and effective actions,” the general emphasized.
