The coming week will be crucial for the tense conflict at Ukraine’s border. Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre says it is a serious start to 2022 that we are now in a situation where military conflict in Europe cannot be ruled out.
– Now it is a tense situation, with over 100,000 Russian soldiers and heavy equipment on several fronts around Ukraine. It provides short notice times. We can not rule out that it will end in a military conflict. It is serious for the whole of Europe, including Norway, says Støre.
