Hospitals in the region still have more coronary patients. The courses are sometimes difficult again, they say.
There are even more patients with a positive corona test in hospitals. In addition, staff shortages continue to weigh on hospital operations. In the SLK network with homes in Heilbronn, Bad Friedrichshall and Löwenstein (both in the Heilbronn district), the number of coronavirus positive patients has been increasing for about two weeks, according to a SWR request. The situation is also tense as more than 100 employees are currently absent in Heilbronn alone due to coronary heart disease. A total of nearly 120 people who tested positive for Corona are currently being treated in the hospital network, five of them in the intensive care unit.
Significantly more patients in the BBT group
The Barmherzige Brüder Trier (BBT) group reports a similar situation: in the Tauberbischofsheim hospital (Main-Tauber district), the number of patients has recently increased significantly and there have been significantly more severe courses, according to a statement.
“We are currently treating more corona patients than we have had since this year’s peak in the spring. At the same time, many of these patients require a lot of care and require everything from staff.”
More than a dozen people who have tested positive for coronavirus are currently being treated in the Tauberbischofsheim hospital and a dozen patients in the Hohenlohe hospital in Öhringen (Hohenlohekreis) (as of 7 October), two of them in the intensive care unit. More than 20 coronary patients are being treated in the Caritas hospital in Bad Mergentheim (Main-Tauber district), two of them are in the intensive care unit.
