Pro-Russian militants remotely mined the civilian sector of the village of Zaitsevo in the Donetsk region. The incident took place today, April 12th.

Invaders carried out remote mining today prohibited by the Ottawa Convention anti-personnel mines POM-2. The militants tried to pass off mining as the actions of the Ukrainian military.

“The peculiarity of these ammunition is that they cannot be neutralized without an explosion… Ukraine, according to the aforementioned convention, until 2011, under international control, destroyed these mines. And Russia, on the contrary, refused to sign and ratify the Ottawa Convention. These mines are still in service with the RF Armed Forces, “the group said.
The Ukrainian side reported the incident to the representatives of the OSCE mission.
