The site of the Ukrainian Navy “lay down” because of a hacker attack from the Russian Federation

Due to the hacker attack, some documents and mostly fake messages have been published related to the Sea Breeze 2021 exercise.

The site of the Ukrainian Navy was temporarily out of service due to a hacker attack from Russia. About it informs Ministry of Defense on Friday, July 9.

Today, there have been cases of Russian hacker attacks on the website of the Ukrainian naval forces. Because of this, the publication of some documents and mostly fake messages related to the Sea Breeze 2021 exercise took place.

As the ministry assured, none of the documents was received due to information leakage from the information and telecommunication systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

There were also recorded cases of unsuccessful DDoS attacks against the official web portal of the Ministry of Defense.

The defense department said that the work of the site of the Navy will be restored in the near future. At the moment, specialists are updating departmental resources on the Internet at the proper level of protection.

Recall that earlier US President Joe Biden spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin about Russian hackers… The heads of the two countries talked by phone and discussed cyberattacks from the territory of the Russian Federation and humanitarian aid to Syria.
