Frogwares has announced The Sinking City 2 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox. It is a horror game with a focus on exploration and combat. The game is made with UE5 and will be released in 2025. The developers took inspiration from the horror stories of HP Lovecraft.

The story of The Sinking City 2 takes place according to the developer early twentieth century in the United States. In the game, the country is getting back on track after the end of the First World War, but not everywhere. After all, in some places ‘unusual and supernatural events’ take place.

According to the developer, The Sinking City 2 is not a direct successor to The Sinking City: a detective game with horror elements from 2019. The makers have again been inspired by the stories of the late American horror writer HP Lovecraft. Gamers can collect traces and hints just like in that first game, but this is reportedly completely optional in The Sinking City 2. Frogwares did not provide an exact release date, but mentions on his website that The Sinking City 2 will be released in 2025.
