The shooting of a three-part miniseries about the late singer Iveta Bartošová (d. 48), named Iveta, has begun. The title role of the singer includes the actress Anna Fialová (26), for whom this role is a challenge. The expected miniseries will project Iveta’s life, from an early age, first love, but also tragic moments in life.

“We don’t tell Iveta’s life as a sensation, we don’t judge anyone around her. For us, it’s a story about a girl from the Beskydy who wants to be famous and loved. But when she does, she loses everything.” director and screenwriter Michal Samir explained for the daily Blesk. In the miniseries, Iveta not only comes to life deceased singer Iveta Bartošová, but also her first great love Petr Sepéši († 25), who died under the wheels of a train while trying to cross a railway crossing.
Anna Fialová in the lead role
He will play the main role actress Anna Fialová, which was a clear choice for casting director and miniseries producer Maja Hamplová.
“We don’t have so many actresses who look like Iveta at least a little bit of visage, fragility, tenderness, fighting spirit, and they can still sing and move,” says Samir.
Anna FIalová took on the role of Iveta Bartošová without hesitation. “It’s a big challenge for me. Iveta’s story is really strong.” she told Blesk that she did not know Iveta personally, but presented the singer as Adriana in the musical Dracula, in which her mother danced.
Actress Eliška Křenková, who will play Iveta’s twin Ivana, will also appear in the miniseries. “Their sister relationship was far deeper than everyone thinks. Their alleged rivalry is a myth, although, of course, this relationship was not black and white either.” said Křenková.
Iveta Bartošová’s father will be played by Miroslav Hanuš, and Alena Mihulová will play the role of mother. “We want to present Iveta’s family as living figures of flesh and blood and not as a staff in her fascinating story, “says director Samir. Vojtěch Vodochodský will play Iveta’s first and life’s love – Petr Sepéši.
