Very little present on social networks, Florent Pagny published this Monday, August 12, a video on Instagram in which he gives news concerning his health. He then pushed a huge rant against “the garbage” who take advantage of the naivety of some of his fans, returning to the case of identity theft of which he was the victim.
The published video, however, brought some good news regarding his health. “Everything is fine. For a year, I have had four check-ups that are good, that are stable, but after having experienced two relapses, we know that we should not cry victory too quickly and for a few years, I will have these check-ups. But for now, it’s good! My hair has grown backmy belly too. It’s a sign of good health!”

The coach of The Voice then explained why he decided to post a long video on his Instagram account. “It’s been almost a year since I posted anything on Instagram. I don’t like social media. So, I recognize their practical side, but above all I recognize them their toxic side. If I am posting this film today, it is for two reasons.” It was therefore mainly to have a rant that Florent Pagny spoke today.
He went into detail about a surprising case of identity theft. In fact, a video of him had been modified in order to make a woman named Catherine believe that she was having an intimate relationship with the singer. “Now the toxic side. I’m going to show you a short film that was sent to me, but which was addressed to a lady, a fan, who, for some time, believed she had a direct, private relationship with me. She got scammed of a few hundred euros”he explained.

Florent Pagny then broadcast some extracts from the manipulated video explaining the modus operandi of the scammers. “It’s my voice, it’s me who speaks, but I never filmed this. This is the film I made in 2022 to announce my problem and cancel the end of my tour. But with artificial intelligence, they are able to do that. So, you saw: they call themselves pirates. They are garbage.”
As reported Pure PeopleFlorent Pagny then took the time to warn his fans. “It happens a lot on Facebook, because on Facebook there are profiles and so they go looking for their victims and it’s through that channel that they reach people perhaps a little more naiveA little weaker or who have not fully mastered this new way of communicating.”

Known for his discretion, the singer also recalled that the chances of seeing him contact his fans
directly on social networks are zero. “You can’t imagine for a second that an artist, or a public figure, could give you a phone number or contact information through social media. It’s not possible. If you haven’t met him, it can’t happen.”

It’s all I can try to do to solve a problem that is serious because every time, it affects me.” he concluded, looking disillusioned by the audacity of the scammers.
